No buzzing when Robi Comb is turned on
Possible Reason and Solution

Lice, dirt, dandruff, etc. caught between teeth. Brush the Combing Unit clean.

Battery is placed in wrong direction. Reinsert battery with "+" matching "+" on the Robi Comb.

Battery is old / used. Insert a new AA (1.5 volt) battery

The Combing Unit is wet. Remove Combing Unit completely. ( you can use a hair dryer to speed up drying process). If Robi Comb still does not buzz when turned on. Remove the Combing Unit Cover (top, including Combing Unit teeth).
If buzzing is silent with Combing Unit removed
Possible Reason and Solution

Battery connection is poor. Remove battery and check metal connections that touch battery in Robi Comb Body. Gently clean metal connections and battery (do not wash).

Metal Connections do not touch battery. Gently pry metal connections out a little to make better contact with battery.

The Combing Unit is wet. Dry combing unit completely (use hair dryer)

If no buzzing is heard at this point, please contact us.

If a buzzing is heard, re-attach Combing Unit Cover (top, including Combing Unit teeth).
If buzzing is now silent with Combing Unit on

Combing Unit teeth are bent and touching each other. Gently try to straighten teeth. If Combing Unit teeth are bent or broken, Order Replacement Combing Unit through this website.

Black insulation tips of Combing Unit teeth are worn off. Order new unit.

Combing Unit teeth are bent or broken. Order replacement unit.

Comb shuts off when touches hair
Possible Reason and Solution

Hair is wet . Dry hair and Combing Unit completely (use hair dryer).

Sensor problem. Please contact Licegaurd and they will assist you on how to troubleshoot this error.
Other Problems and solutions:

Battery cover does not hold. Try and use a different battery brand. Some batteries are slightly thicker than others and may cause this problem.

Other thing you may like to try is to push firmly the inside part of the Robi comb battery cradle (with your fingers only) make sure it is pressed properly.
